Sleep is critical to public health

The National Sleep Foundations’ annual Sleep in America poll found that nearly 90% of adults with excellent sleep say they feel very effective at getting things done each day, compared to only 46% of those with poor sleep (exhibit a).

The study also shows that only 10% of U.S. adults prioritize their sleep over other aspects of daily life such as work, social life, hobbies, etc.

Dr. Baharav, founder of Sleeprate comments: “Sleep is now where nutrition was 20 years ago.
Getting the public to see value in their sleep is critical for improved public health.”
